Gratitude
I am grateful for the wonderful women who came to class last night. It is so energizing to be with people who are making their life better and better and better and better…
And then I dreamed that I was in class with Gary and Dain!
How does it get any better than that?
Gratitude
This weekend, I met a woman who talked about what she is passionate about. It was such a beautiful experience. She also said how she feels the beauty of the forest when she goes on a bike ride.
It made me think about how I want to feel more gratitude. So I did some more Internet research and found this article.
It gives an example on how to practice feeling more gratitude and it has lightheartedness in it.
And a lot of it matches something I could have written.

Gratitude
I found out that the phone company charged us $15 extra for our Internet for going over 100GB.
I was so rilled up. And in the middle of this tornado of energies (they are lucky they were closed when I fist found out), I wondered how could I bring some gratitude to this? And it made me laugh: I have the luxury to get upset about unimportant things… How does it get any better than that?
I am grateful for the wonderful invention that is the Internet and I wonder what I can create when I call the phone company…
Gratitude
I am grateful for celebrating the solstice early with a bonfire and talking about gratitude, energies and body connection with new people. Happy thank you more please!
Gratitude
I watched a Tedx talk from David Steindl Rast. He talks about grateful living. He talks about slowing down to take the opportunity to enjoy. And once we enjoy, it is easier to be grateful. His method is simple: “Stop, look, go” like crossing a street. He gives the example of little stickers that he has put on his light switches and water taps to remind himself to stop and enjoy the fact that he has running potable water and electricity.
What could we stop and enjoy today?
Gratitude
I am grateful I have a nice house to live in. I am grateful for my healthy body and I am grateful I have money to buy bacon and maple sirup for a delicious breakfast.
Gratitude
I have heard about the concept of non-linearity. In the classes I take, we talk about letting go of control and how the world of energies is not linear.
So some days, writing or talking about what I am grateful for is more difficult than other but then unexpected things are showing up in my life. For example, I was at work concentrated on the task at hand and out of the blue I felt a wave of happiness through my body. It was a wave so it came and went, but it has a lasting impression through the fact that it happened. It’s possible. It exists.
I am grateful I got to experience this wave of surprise happiness for no reason.
Gratitude
Last night, when I asked Rolly what he was grateful for in his day, he said: “I feel like I am just saying things to meet a quota”…
Just after I tell myself this nice story of Rolly loving our gratitude exchange…
I told him that some days it might feel like filling up a quota but other days, it is fun.
The thing is when we most need to feel grateful that’s when it seems to be the least available. But theoretically, it is like a muscle, so it is like working out: some days it is easy and fun and others it is not… I’ve been told there is a benefit to working out even if it isn’t easy. So possibly it is the same with listing things that we are grateful for…
What are you grateful for in your day today?
Gratitude
Rolly loves our evening gratitude exchanges (we share 3 things we are grateful for about our day). It is becoming a ritual that brings us joy. We get to talk about the good things in our day and most of the time when we name something we go on to describing it in details and therefore reliving it.
Maybe Rolly doesn’t love the gratitude exchange but believing that he does makes me happy so I might as well believe it. There is a French book titled “Les gens heureux ne s’inquiètent pas de savoir si c’est vrai… Ils se racontent de belles histoires” (= happy people don’t worry about knowing if it is true… They tell themselves beautiful stories).
My beautiful story is that Rolly and I both love our gratitude exchange. What is yours?
