I love this time of year, just after the time change, when it’s 7:30 PM and it’s surprisingly still light out. After a few weeks, we get used to the extra light but for a few days we get to be surprised, or grateful!

I am grateful for my strong body and strong immune system.

Recently, I felt like I had discovered a secret through my gratitude exercises. But when I tried to put it into word, the awareness of the secret disappeared. I guess it is not to be shared. I am grateful for the secret of gratitude.

I am grateful for my bed. It is so cosy and inviting!

I just discovered that my new computer that my dad chose for me transforms in a tablet. I am so excited. I had dreamed of one and then forgotten that I wanted one! I am grateful that my dad remembered my dream!

I am grateful for a walk in nature on a sunny day.

I went to visit a friend and we had tea in her grand-mother’s fine China. We estimated that it is from 1930. How did we get so lucky?

I am grateful for sitting by the fireplace, feeling the heat on my back. The cat likes it too.

Running an errand, I came out of the Metro and here she was : cathédrale de Notre Dame. So beautiful! Later, in an above ground metro, I overheard a dad say to his daughter: there are so many beautiful buildings to see in Paris. I added: how did we get so lucky to see all those beautiful buildings?
I am grateful to be able to notice beauty around me.

I heard a bird song at 5:50 am. No it wasn’t my alarm. Just nature waking up in Compiègnes’s country side.
